Misson statement

Virginia Issues & Answers (VIA), is a public policy magazine published online by the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), as an outreach service of Virginia Tech. VIA seeks to create awareness of the issues facing the commonwealth and to explore options for resolving those issues. Positioned as a thought leader in the commonwealth, VIA is comprised of articles penned by subject-matter experts based in academia, agencies, and think tanks across Virginia. Reaching policymakers at all levels of the public and private sectors, the publication examines topics relevant to the commonwealth’s current public policy agenda and expedites the analysis, formulation, and implementation of policy.
